Cat eye

Hey guys!

One of my friends showed me this picture and asked me if I could show her how to do it.

I got this picture from http://www.beautylish.com/f/ixgunx

Here is what I came up with.

  • First I primed my lids and used my Maybelline color tattoo gel in Too Cool all over my lid.
  • Then I got the darkest yellow shadow from my Coastal Scents Creative me #1 and put it on my lids. You can use any bright yellow shadow. I know NYC has one that is really bright and affordable.
  • Then I took the shadow Buck (brown shadow) from my UD Naked palette and put it on my crease.
  • On top of Buck I put the shadow sidecar from my UD Naked palette.
  • Then on my browbone I used Virgin also from my UD Naked palette.
  • For my top liner I used Urban Decay's liner in zero and the Wet n Wild gel black liner. The gel liner is nice for to make the wing. I used both because I was trying to get the black to be really dark. I also used UD's liner in zero for my water line.
  • On my lower lash line I used Cover Girl's liquiline blast in blue. Then I applied my mascara.

NYX Lip creams, lips sticks and liners

Hello!!!!!

A while back I got a NYX extreme lip cream from myglam.com and I liked it a lot so I decided to get a few more. I got some that where on sale on Hautelook.com. It came with 2 extreme lip cream colors, 2 lip liners and 2 lip sticks.

Here is what they look like on me:

This is the Fuchsia lip liner with the Dolly girl lip cream and the matte lipstick in sweet pink (I just realized that my nose looks super weird in this picture hahahaha it looks like I only have one nostril, oh well).

This one is a brown lip liner ( sorry I forgot the name) with the nude lipstick and natural lip cream.

You don't have to use all three together, in fact don't use all three together haha. I guess using all three together is supposed to last longer but I don't think it does ( maybe you are not even to use all of it together but I did it anyways because I was experimenting). It actually gets too creamy and feels kinda weird. It also looks like there is too much on your lips.

My favorite of all three is the extreme lip cream, I love it!!!! It is great because it is creamy but it is a lip stain as well and the color is very vibrant. It does dry up after a while but just put a gloss over it or a lip balm. It will stay on for a long time. If you just put on the liner and the lip cream it will last even longer. Its only when using the lip cream and the lip stick together that it gets too creamy and weird. So you can also use the liner and the lipstick and it will be fine :)

These are great and I love them!!! Can't wait to try more colors! Also, that natural lip cream and nude lipstick is too nude for me. It looks way nude, it hides all the pink your lip has. It does look good with certain looks or certain skin tones.

Anyways, the point of this post is that.... The the extreme lip cream is awesome. The liner and lipstick are pretty good too but nothing too special.

UD's Naked palette look

Hey guys!!!!

I finally was able to get another cable for my camera because the other one broke. Now I can finally upload pictures again!!! :)

Here is the look for today

For this look I used the Urban Decay Naked palette and the black shadow from my Too Faced naked eyes palette. I also used something new that I am excited about!!!! Its the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr eyeshadow. It does the same as the NYX Jumbo pencil and it works better for me because the jumbo pencil creases on me sometimes.

  • First prime your lids
  • Then put the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr shimmery white eyeshadow (or Nyx jumbo pencil in milk or cottage cheese) all over your lids and crease. This will make the other eyeshadows look more vibrant.
  • Then get a black shadow and put it all over your lid until right under your crease.
  • On your crease use Urban Decay's gunmetal eyeshadow. Place that all over your crease and blend it really well with the black.
  • Then on top of that shadow you are going to use Urban Decay's sidecar eyeshadow. Put that right on top of where gunmetal ended and a little overlapping that gunmetal shadow.
  • On your brow bone you are going to use Urban Decay's eyeshadow in Virgin. Also use some of that on your inner corner and blend it well with the other shadows.
  • Get a black liner and line your upper and lower lash line as well as your water line. I used UD's liner in zero for the water line and Wet n Wild's gel liner for the rest.
  • On your upper lash line make the liner winged and connect it to the lower lash line liner that you had on.
  • To finish it add some more black shadow to your crease and blend just to make sure that it is dark enough.
  • Finally, put your favorite mascara on :)

If you liked it subscribe or write a comment :)

New Years Makeup

Hey guys!

I wanted to do something for New Years Eve and I came up with this:

It is kind of a glittery smoky eye look. I used my Wet n Wild I love Matte palette. I just broke the cable that connects my camera to my computer :( so I could not take a picture of the palette. Here is a picture that I got from http://kawaiibarbie.blogspot.com which I randomly found online.

All I used from it was the white and the black shadows so you can use any you have if you don't own this palette :)

  1. First prime you lids
  2. Then use Nix Jumbo pencil in Cottage Cheese or Milk all over your lid up to the crease.
  3. Get the white eyeshadow and put it all over your lid and crease
  4. Place the black shadow on your outer corner and a little into your crease. Now all you have to do is blend it really well so it is darker ( black) at the outer corner and more of a gray as you get to the middle of your lid and 1/3 into your crease. Start with not so much black then build it up as you blend.
  5. Make sure you leave it really white by your inner corner.
  6. Then get a shimmery white shadow and put it on your brow bone.
  7. Get Wet n Wild's Mega Shimmer in White lotus and put it all over your lid and crease.
  8. Line your upper lash line and water lines with a black eyeliner
  9. Use a shimmery white liner from for the bottom lash line
  10. Put mascara on or use fake lashes for a more dramatic look

Findings:
  • Elf's Health Glow Shimmer powder is a pretty good dupe for LORAC's Perfectly Lit in Spotlight and Bare Mineral's Flawless Radiance. It is a great highlighter and it was only 3 dollars and came with a brush ( not a good brush but it does the job. It is a mini kabuki brush)
  • Urban Decay's Book of Shadows IV is on sale at Sephora and Urban Decay. Its $44 now instead of 60 something dollars.
  • Philosophy products have also been on sale for a while at Sephora. They even have some of their eye creams on sale at the Sephora inside JcPenneys ( not sure about the free standing Sephora store)

Hope you liked it :) If you did subscribe or comment :)

Ps: I created a Facebook page called Makeup Chat. Check it out :) It is a place where you can talk and share anything beauty or makeup related. Also where you can ask questions and have fun :)

I love Blue!!

Hey guys!!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while :( I have been super busy because of the holidays and work.
Someone gave me a picture and asked me if I could do something like it. It is not the same but it is similar. I will post the picture below as well. If you have any looks that you have seen and would like me to do just email me the picture :)

Here is the picture she sent me. As you can see it is not the same color blues.

To accomplish that I used my Blue had me at Hello palette by Wet n Wild.

  1. I primed my lids with my Urban Decay primer
  2. Then I put the teal shadow all over my lids up to the crease ( but as you can see on the pic, the inner corner does not have a lot of blue, it has white)
  3. I got the lighter blue shadow ( the one right under the teal) and put that on my crease ( on 2/3 of it, don't cover the teal near your inner corner)
  4. I used the darker blue on my outer corner and a little into my crease. I also put some of it on the outer 1/3 of my lower lash line. Make sure you blend it really well.
  5. I got the shimmery white ( the first shadow on the left) and put that all over my inner corner up to my brow bone. I also used some of it on the inner 1/3 of my lower lash line
  6. For the middle 1/3 of your lower lash line I used the teal shadow
  7. I lined my upper lash line with a black liner as well as my upper and lower water line.
  8. Don't forget your mascara :)
I hope you liked it!!!

Blue eyeliner!

Hey guys!!!

I am loving this blue eyeliner from Sephora. I got it not long ago and I can't get over how bright and cool it looks.

It looks brighter in the picture than in real life. It looks lighter blue in the picture but it is a dark blue.

What I did was:

  • Primed my lid and got a gold shadow (you can use any) and put it all over my lid and crease.
  • Then I got a darker gold shadow and put it on my crease.
  • I put my blue Sephora liquid liner all over my lash line and made a cat eye
  • Then on above that I used my Wet n Wild white liner and then on top of it my Sephora Fleshy Silver pencil liner. I also used that on the bottom lash line.
  • To finish it off I put my black liner on the upper and lower water line. I put my mascara on as well and as you can see some of the blue got on my lashes and the mascara did not cover all of it. It kinda always happens to me but you can't really notice unless you were looking at it closely.

I hope you liked it :) I wanted to try something different and I think it turned out pretty good!

Have a great day!

Remington Curling Wand

Hello!!!!!

There is so much I have to share with you guys!!!! I have been working so much so I have not had time to post as often. Today I am going to talk about the Remington Curling Wand.

It looks like this:

I got that image from Target.com

This is great because it makes your curls look real since its thicker at the beginning then thin at the end. Also you can make your curl so many different sizes. They can be really tight or loose. Another thing that I loved about it is that it I don't have to straighten my hair to get nice curls. I have wavy hair and if I just air dry my hair and use this curler it still looks great. The other curler I had I always had to straighten my hair beforehand for the curls to look good. It also does not take long at all, it takes me about 20 minutes to do my hair and I have a lot of hair. You can get it for around $20 at Target, so it is a great price for a good curler.

The con is that you have to use your hand to wrap the hair around it and there is no clamp to hold the hair so if you are not careful you can burn your fingers. It does come with a heat protective glove though so you can use that :)

Here is a picture of how my hair looked.

If you want a tutorial let me know :)

Gold Digger :)

Hello Beautiful!!!!!

Here is the look for today. I think it will be a great look for Christmas.

Here is what I used

There are a couple of ways to accomplish this look. I will tell you how I did it then I will tell you how you can change it.

  1. I primed my lids and put MAC's Woodwinked shadow all over my lids up to the crease
  2. Then I got that light brown on my Urban Decay's Naked palette and put in all over my crease to soften the look.
  3. Then I used color number 2 (sorry there is no name for it and some of my shadows fell so I had to glue it back together and they are not in the place they used to be) on my Coastal Scents 88 Warm palette and put it on top of the light brown all over my crease.
  4. I got shadow number 1 and put it on my outer corner all and half way into my crease ( this is the shimmery burgundy color on the palette, its pretty unique and pretty).
  5. Then I got the shadow Virgin (shimmery white/silver) from my Urban Decay palette and put that on my brow bone.
  6. You can't really see it in the picture but my eyeliner is pretty thick. I used a black liner only on my top lash line only to keep the look simple.
  7. Don't forget mascara. I used my Tarte Lash primer and mascara.
  8. On my cheeks I used two things that I am really liking at the moment. One is the Bare Escentuals all over face color in Glee ( I like how it looks with my brownish-red hair) and on top of that I used Lorac Tantalizer which I am loving! The reason why I used it on top of  Glee is because Tantalizer is not that dark its more of a bronzy highliter. It gives you a really nice bronzed glow.
So if you don't have the Urban Decay Naked palette or the MAC shadow you can actually just use your Coastal Scents 88 warm palette if you have that. There are colors that look almost like the MAC and Urban Decay ones in that palette.

I hope you liked it!!!!

Icy Eyes

Hey guys!!!!!

Here is the look for today

I used Wet n Wild's Blue Had me at Hello Palette

  1. I primed my lids with my Urban Decay primer
  2. I used Nix's Jumbo pencil in Baby blue all over my lid right up to the crease
  3. Then I got the lightest blue shadow (baby blue) and put it on top of the Nix jumbo pencil
  4. I got the silver shadow and put that all over my crease
  5. To finish it off I put the teal shadow on my outer corner and half way into my crease. Then I got the shimmery white shadow that says brow bone on it and put that on my brow bone.
  6. On top of the baby blue I added Wet n Wild's mega shimmer in white lotus to give it some more sparkles. Make sure you pat it on because if you don't there will be fall out.
  7. For the liner I used Urban Decay's 24/7 in zero on my water line and on my upper lash line then used my Wet n Wild gel liner in black to do the wings. On my bottom lash line I used a metallic blue liner, or you can also use the shame shadow you put on your lid.
  8. Don't forget your favorite mascara :)
