Scented Nail Polishes

Hey guys!!!

I have been seeing a lot of scented nail polishes around drug stores. The first time I saw it I got pretty excited because that would be a pretty cool idea. Then I started wondering how they were going to make nail polish smell good. Well, they can't... I don't even know why they have put these on the market because they smell very gross and weird. The nail polish smell is still there with some strange scent they have added. Some of them do not even smell like anything but nail polish. I would never buy these because I would not be able to put up with the smell. They do have some really nice colors that I would want to try if it at least smelled like normal nail polish.

Here are pictures I took so you guys know which ones I am talking about

They have some really cute colors but the smell is horrible. I don't understand why they would even put these out there. They should have waited until they could make them smell like what they advertise it as.

Again.. great idea, but they need to work on it

What do you guys think????

Purple eyes

Hey guys!!!!

I am finally back and super excited about posting again. Here is a look I came up with this week

I used my Kat Von D True Romance palette

  • First I primed my lids. I also used Mary Kay's cream eye color in beach blonde on my lid so that the pink shadow would show up more.
  • I used the pink shadow on my lid, the grey on my crease and the purple on my outer corner.
  • I lined my lower lash line with a purple eyeliner and put Urban Decay's Psychedelic Sister ( purple shadow) over it.
  • I lined my upper lash line with NYC's high definition liquid liner and put mascara on.

I hope you guys liked it

March Birchbox

Hey guys!!!!

I got my Birchbox this weekend and I like it better than the Myglam bag for this month. At least this one has things I will use, even though it is mostly samples.

Color Club Nail Lacquer in Age of Aquarius: I have not used it yet but I love the color and can't wait to try it.

Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Cleanser: I am super excited about this. My skin care routine works great right now but I always want to try new things. I hope it does erase some of the blemishes I have. It is eco-friendly and it uses botanical ingredients.

Lulu organics Lavender + Clary Sage hair powder: I don't really use dry shampoos mainly because some of the ones I have used do not work that well but I will try this. If it works I will let you guys know.

Stila Smokey Eye Card: I love the colors, too bad it was such a small sample. I have kitten but I am thinking about buying the other ones. It came with Kitten, Ebody and Diamond lil. Bellow is a the look I got with it.

March Myglam bag

Hey guys!!!!

I got my Myglam bag and I am very disapointed, It is becoming a birch box. Actually, my birch boxes have been getting better, lets see what this month's one holds haha. Myglam started great, with full size products and pretty nice ones. This month, it was all samples except two things.

It came with

Pur-lisse Pur protect SPF 30 daily Moisturizer, Murad eye lift Perfector, and Dermstore $25 gift card : The moisturizer and eye lift are very small  samples. They are so small that I won't even be able to decide if I like them or not. I will only be able to use it once or twice. The gift card is nice if you use Dermstore, I will probably never use it.

Pur-lisse Pur-lip comfort daily lip nourisher: This works ok and it is too oily. It also tastes and smells weird to me. After applying it I got a weird taste in my mouth. It did make my lips feel better though but then it kinda dried off. You could have also got a Murad absolute bronszing boost or a 3Lab perfect cleasing foam. I wish I had gotten any of those other two because I would have used it more than the lip nourisher.

Keracolor Color enhancing Leave in Treatment: Again, this is very small. I will be able to use it one time because my hair is so thick. It also gives you a "Myglam exclusive deal" of $8 dollars off and free shipping.

Myglam brush: It is a blending brush and I am all for trying new brushes so I will give it a try. It does smell really weird, I don't know why.

If they are going to give people all these "gift cards" or deals so we would buy their products they should at least give bigger samples. How am I going to know I have liked something if I have only used it once or twice? Myglam started so great but I feel like it is going down hill and it started with last month's bag. We shall see what happens next month :)

Nyx Glitter liner

Hey Guys!!!!!!!

Last week I went to Sephora and asked one of my friends which liner she was using because it looked so bright and sparkly. Usually when I put my glitter liner on it does not look as glittery as I want it to. She told me what she did to make it that way so I will teach you guys cause it helped me a lot.

  • Prime your eyes
  • On my lid I have Urban Decay's Verve eye shadow and on my brow bone I have Sin.
  • First you line your lid and make the wing. I used a Maybelline's Master Drama vibrant violet liner. The reason I used purple is because my friend had purple glitter on and I wanted to use purple under with a silver glitter over to see how it looked. I thought it was going to look more purple than it did.
  • Then on top of that liner I used Urban Decay's twisted sister ( metallic purple shadow)
  • On top of that I used my Nyx candy glitter liner in silver.
  • I also lined my upper and lower water line to make that silver pop out even more
It turned out really good, a bright glittery silver. It lasted all day long and it looked just like it did when I put it on. If you use a silver liner and shadow it should turn out the same as mine did :)

I hope you liked it

MAC Pigments

Hey guys!!!!

I feel like I have not written in so long. I have been so busy lately. I went to the MAC store and saw this set of 4 pigments they had and I decided to buy it to try it out and see how good it is. I also got one of their new lipsticks in an orange color because it looked so pretty.

Here is the look

This look is really simple and easy because I wanted to focus on the liner.

  • First I primed my lids with my Urban Decay primer.
  • Then I got MAC's pigment in Star Chrystal and put it all over my lid up to the crease
  • On my crease I used MAC's Rose Light pigment
  • Then I used BH Cosmetics liquid liner in black on my upper lash line. I got this free with a recent purchase and I really like it so far. It feels I am drawing on my lid with a sharpie. The end result is really nice, bold and even. It stays there all day and it is pretty easy to remove it with makeup remover.
  • On the wing part of the liner I put some white liner on top and side.
  • I lined my upper and lower lid with UD's 24/7 eyeliner in zero and used UD's 24/7 liner in Whiskey (brown) on my lower lash line.
  • Don't forget mascara
On my lips I used MAC's Sheen supreme lipstick in Korean Candy. I really like this lipstick. It looks so shiny and it is also pretty hydrating. It does not make my lips dry for a while (unlike some lipsticks do). I also don't feel the need to put a gloss or a lip balm on top to make it not dry out. It has the texture of a lip gloss, except it is not stick at all.

I hope you liked it

Nicki minaj lipstick and tutorial

Hey guys!!!!!!!

I just got the Nicki Minaj lipstick by MAC not long ago and I wanted to talk about it so I also decided to do a tutorial :) My eye tutorial was inspired by Nicki Minaj in the Super Bass video. She is wearing 3 or 4 different looks and this is the one where she has the wavy pink wig on.

The eyes:

  • First I primed my lids and put Nyx's Jumbo pencil in cottage cheese all over my lids, up to the crease. One thing about the Jumbo pencils is that they always crease when I put a little too much on, so be careful. Maybelline's 24 hour eyeshadow tattoo in too cool will work great for this.
  • On the inner half half of my lid and crease I used Urban Decay's Aquarius (metallic baby blue) eyeshadow.
  • Then on the outer half I used UD's Pshychedelic Sister (metallic purple) shadow.
  • In between those two shadows I used UD's flipside (darker metallic blue) shadow to help me blend the other two shadows. Make sure you blend them really well.
  • I got a brown shadow from my Coastal Scents 88 shadow palette and put it right on top of where the blue and purple one ended. So right above my crease and I blended it really well.
  • On my brow bone I used UD's swf eyeshadow.
  • I lined my upper lash line, and water lines with UD's 24/7 liner in Zero (black).
  • On my lower lash line I used Aquarius to line it.
  • Don't forget your mascara and fake lashes (if you want some).
I used two palettes for the look and they were UD's feminine palette and the fun palette. All the colors will be in them.

Lips:

I used MAC's viva la glam lip stick which is the one by Nicki Minaj. I LOVE this color even though it is a little bold. I had been wanting it for a while and I finally bought it :) It is very pigmented and it will stay on for a long time. It is probably one of the lip sticks that I have that will stay on the longest.

February Myglam Bag

Hey Guys!!!!!

I finally get to post about the February Myglam :) I was pretty excited about it, here is what it came with:

Xout Shine control (not included on the pic, I forgot) : I am pretty excited about this because I have oily skin and anything that helps with it I am willing to try. I have used it already and so far so good :)

Nyx roll on shimmer: I had low expectations for this but it actually works really well. It rolls on pretty easily and  it did not crease ( I did use a primer first).

Freeman Facial Hydration mask and Dead sea Premier: These were just samples and I am pretty excited to try them as well.

100 dollars gift card for Nu.Me : This was the most exciting thing in the whole bag. I am super excited about it and can't wait to buy a really nice hair straightener.

If it were not for the gift card I would not be so excited about this bag. The two face masks were very small so it is not going to last. The Xout and Nyx roll on are really good but not worth it by itself. They also did include 2 pieces of chocolate which was cute because it came on Valentine's day week :)

I know that they have been sold out of these for a while so I hope that they let more people join soon. Also, some people have been complaining about not getting their bags but I think that they have fixed it this time around.

February Birchbox Review

Happy Valentine's day!

I hope you guys had a great Valentine's day :) I got my February Birchbox in the mail and I am very excited about it because of the beauty blender.
This is the second month that I have gotten a Birchbox but last month I was not that excited about it so I did not review it.

Here is what it came with

Beauty Blender: The beauty blender is the pink sponge you see above. It helps you to put your foundation on and it is supposed to make it look better. I had been wanting to try this for a while but never got around to buying it because it is a little expensive. I have used it and I really like it!!! It is so much faster than using a brush, and the end results looks great. I love how there is a pointy side and a wider side to it because it makes it easier to get foundation all over your face. The pointy side is great for the corners of your nose and under your eyes.

Violent Lips: I had seen this before at Sephora and always thought it was a little too much hahaha. It is these very sparkly lip tattoos that you can apply fast and get cool glittery lips. I bet these will be fun for a photo shoot.

Heart nail filer: This is pretty cute but there is not much to say about it. It is just a heart shaped nail filer haha

Jouer luminizing moisture tint: First of all, this sample is way too small. It is the size of one of those free samples you can get at Sephora. Actually, Sephora might give you more than this. I have tried it on and if you want your skin to glow this is great. It is great for people with dry skin and it has SPF 20 which is awesome. SPF in your face makeup is always a good thing. Now, it is oil free which is great for people with oily skin. A lot of people that do have oily skin do not want any more glow on their skin because all the oil already makes it glow so much. Since they are usually looking for things that will make their skin matte, I don't know they would use this product. It also claims to even out your imperfections and fade fine lines, which it does not really do. This is such light coverage that it is only going to do a little of that, it is going to give you a great healthy glow though. I used it as a primer today and it worked out nicely.

Orofluido beauty elixir: Again, this is a free sample so it is a very small container. I don't mind as much because since it is an oil I won't need a lot of it so I will be able to decide if I like it or not. I am very excited about this!! I am all about making my hair look nicer and shinier. I love organ oil and I can't wait to try this one.

Overall the Birchbox is ok. All that you get that is not a free sample is the beauty blender and the violent lips. I am not really going to use the violent lips that much so all I got is the beauty blender. You only pay $10 a month but compared to Myglam this does not give you as much for your money. I really do not like how most of the stuff you get are free samples that you can get at stores most of the time. Sometimes they will give you those little perfume samples that all you have to do is go to Sephora and ask for one. This month it was worth it just for the beauty blender.

Also, they send different things to different people. Depending on your age and other factors they will send you different things. I know that some people did not get the same things I got this month. If you do want to try it their website is Birchbox.com

I hope you guys liked the review and stay tuned for more :) I will do a Myglam when it gets here. It should be here this week.

Valentines Day look #2

Hey guys!!!!

Here is another look! This one is a lot more neutral and bronze. If you don't like all the pink then you might like this look better than the other one.

As you can see there is not as much pink and the cheeks are bronzed. Here is what I used:

For the eyes:
  • First I primed my lids like always :)
  • I used 3 shades of Bare Escentuals eyeshadow. They are called Mango Smoothie, Ginger Peach and Banana Smoothie. I got mango smoothie (the salmon shadow) and put it all over my lid up to the crease.
  • I took ginger peach ( really shimmery dark peach) and put it on my crease.
  • For my browbone and inner corner I used banana smoothie (shimmery light yellow).
  • Then I got my Maybelline gel liner in blackest black and put it on my lash line and winged it.
  • On my bottom water line I used some white liner to make my eyes pop and it also gives more contrast to that black liner. I think it makes it stand out more.
  • Lastly I put my mascara on
For my face:
  • I used my Mary Kay foundation and put that all over my face.
  • Then used the Maybelline brightening concealer under my eyes and on the corners of my nose.
  • I put my powder Mary Kay foundation on and on top of that (because I got it a while ago and have been wanting to try it) I used my NYC translucent powder. The powder actually works pretty well.
  • On my cheek bone, cheeks, jaw line and temple I used a Physician's formula bronzer. I forgot the name of it and I guess it wore off because I could not find it. I am sorry, I did put a picture of it above.
  • Then I used Lorac's Tantalizer ( I love this bronzer!) right on the top part of my cheek bone to give it a little bit of highlight. The tantalizer is really shimmery so I usually just use it as a highlighter.
  • For my lips I just used a gloss. You can use any you want :)

I hope you guys liked it!!!

Valentine's Day!!!!

Hey guys!!!!!

Here is the look I did for Valentine's Day.

Here is what I used to accomplish the look. I did a pink smoky look with pink cheeks and pink gloss. Lots of pink haha

For my eyes:

  • First I primed my lids and put the Maybelline tattoo shadow in too cool all over my lid, up to the crease. I did this so the shadows would be more vibrant.
  • I got the pink shadow in my Maybelline eyestudio Sunset Seduction palette and put it all over my lid, up to the crease.
  • Then I took the grey shadow and put it all over my crease.
  • I used the brownish shadow on my outer corner
  • I took the the shimmery white/pink and used it on my browbone and a little on my inner corner.
  • Using my Urban Decay's 24/7 liner in Whiskey I liner my upper and lower lash line ( I also smudged the lower lash line a little).
  • With a black eyeliner I lined my upper and lower water line.
  • Don't forget the mascara :)
My face :
  • First I primed my face with Benefit's POREfessional, so that my pores are not too visible.
  • I used my liquid Mary Kay Foundation (one of my favorites) all over my face.
  • Then I used Maybelline's dark circle eraser concealer. The shade I use is brightener, so it is really more of a brightener instead of concealer. I use it under my eyes and on the corners of my nose.
  • On top of that I used my powder MK foundation to give me a lot of coverage and a flawless look.
  • I took my Benefit bronzer in Hoola and put it on my cheek bone, temple and jaw line.
  • Then for my blush I used Milani's baked blush in Rose D'Oro. I put that on my cheeks and a little on my cheek bone.
  • To highligh the top of my cheek bone I used Benefit's high beam. It gives you a nice pink glow.
  • To finish off I used a pink lip gloss.

I hope you liked it!!!

New Findings Review (L'oreal, Covergirl and Maybelline)

Hey guys!!!

I bought a couple of new things not long ago and decided to go a review. I bought 2 new shadows from L'oreal, 2 liners from Maybelline and a lipstick from Covergirl.

L'oreal Paris Infallible 24 hr eye shadows : I got the infinite sky (blue) and the sultry smoke (grey). I really like these so far. I did find them a little hard to blend but they are very pigmented (especially the blue one). They did stay really well but I always use primer so I can't say if they would last on itself. They look like they are pressed loose shadows. It comes with a grey lid/cover  that you put right on top of the shadow so it does not get loose (you will see it on the picture). You have to keep lid/cover there or else the shadow will break ( at the store they had some broken ones that people took the grey piece off and did not put back). Overall I really like them, and they have really nice colors as well.

Covergirl Blastflipstick: I got the one in stunner, it has a bright glittery gold side and a bright orange side. I really like the way these colors look together. The colors by itself look fine but together they look awesome. These do have a weird taste that is hard to explain, but I can put up with it. They do last a really long time, it goes away eventually but it stains your lips and stays there for a while. You also can feel the glitter on your lip, so it does not feel smooth. Overall they are ok, I love the color I chose though so I will keep wearing it.

Here is the gold side, it actually looks a lot more gold. My camera is not doing it justice.

Orange side, again it does look a little brighter than this.

Together, this one actually looks more like the color in real life. Its an orange with gold and glitter

Maybelline Masterdrama eyeliners : I have the Midnight master (black) and Vibrant violet (purple). There are really good but I like Maybelline's gel liner better for my waterline. They are great for your lash line, and stay there for the whole day. It did come off my water line not long after. They also go on very smoothly, and are vibrant. I really like the purple because I have been looking for more of a violet liner and most of the ones I could find where plum.

Here is a look I did using the infallible eyeshadows, and the two liners.

Smoky Purple

Hey guys!!!!!!

How are you??

Here is the look for today:

I used my Coastal Scent's Smoky palette

  • First I primed my lids and put my Maybelline color tattoo in too cool all over my lid, up to the crease. If you don't have that use something like Nix's jumbo pencil. If you don't use anything under the white shadow is not going to show that well.
  • This palette has a nice matte white shadow that you can't see on the picture above. Use that and place it all over your lid, up to the crease.
  • Get the dark purple/burgundy shadow ( the second shadow on the last column) and put it all over your crease.
  • Then get the dark purple (last shadow on the 3rd column) and put it on your outer corner, 1/3 into your lid/crease.
  • Use the light purple (2nd shadow on the 3rd column) and use it to help blend that dark purple to the white. So it should go up to 1/2 on your lid.
  • Then get a matte black shadow ( there is one in this palette as well) and put a little of it on your outer corner, but don't completely cover that dark purple.
  • Use a dark purple shimmery liner (mine was one from Stila) and put it on your upper lash line.
  • Use a black liner on your water line and smudge a little on your lower lash line.
  • Then on top of that smudged black liner on your lower lash line put some dark brown liner and smudge it a little.
  • Don't forget mascara :)

I hope you liked it

Arabic inspired

Hey  guys!!!!

How are you?? Here is the look for today

I used my Coastal Scents 88 warm palette

  • First I primed my lids then put Maybelline's color tattoo eyeshadow in too cool all over my lid.
  • I got a matte white shadow from my Coastal Scents palette and put it all over my lid, right up to the crease
  • Then I got the dark reddish-brown ( third one on the first row) shadow and put it on my crease and on my outer corner.
  • I used the reddish (middle shadow in the last row) shadow and put it on my outer corner and a little into my lid.
  • Then I got the orange shadow and put it where the red one ended up to half way on my lid. Make sure you blend it well.
  • I used a shimmery white shadow on my brow bone
  • I lined my upper lash line and my water line with Maybelline's gel liner in blackest black and winged the bottom and upper liner.
  • On my lower lash line I used a dark brown liner.
  • Between both wings I put some white liner.
  • Don't forget your favorite mascara.

I hope you liked it.

My Glam Bag January

Hey guys!!

I finally got Myglam bag and I love it!!!!!!!!!!! To get a myglam bag all you have to do is go to myglam.com. You only pay 10 dollars each month and they send you a bag full of goodies inside :) The value of the things they send you is worth a lot more than 10 dollars which is great.

Mine came with:

Sheer Cover duo concealer:  I have tried it and it actually pretty well. It conceals really nicely so I will definitely be using this :) It is a $29 dollar value.

Wen Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner: I LOVE this!!!! I have been wanting to try it for a while but never got the change to. I have used their deep conditioner and I loved it! It made my hair so nice and smooth. This product plus my Argon oil makes my hair amazing! A full size Wen Conditioner is $28 dollars.

Freeman Cucumber facial peel-off : I have not tried this yet but I am pretty excited about trying it. It is supposed to hydrate and replenish your skin. It is also a full size which is pretty nice. Value is $8 dollars.

TheBalm Cosmetics Shady Lady: I got a golden brown shadow. I didn't show it in the picture because it came broken but I will still be able to use it. It is really pigmented and the color is really nice! This is a $16 dollars value.

Not only does it come with all of those items, they also give you discounts on all of them. I got a $20 dollars of Wen, 16% off Freeman beauty, and 3 free gifts if I get the Sheer Cover Kit. I think this was really nice as well because I am definitely getting some of these products.

Overall this is an amazing deal!!!! I have subscribed for other monthly bags like this but they don't give you as much as Myglam does.

Love it!!

Pinks and Oranges

Hey guys!!!!

Any good makeup news lately??? Anything new you guys are liking??? Let me know ;)

Here is the look for today :

I used my creative me #2 Palette

  • First I primed my lids
  • Using the pinkish orange shadow ( the first shadow on the second row) I put that on the inner half of my lid and crease.
  • On the other half of my lid and crease I used the brighter orange ( the third color on the first row).
  • With the lighter pink ( second one on the second row) I blended the two shadows together. Place that right in between the other shadows and use it to help blend.
  • Get a light brown color like nude from the UD's naked palette and put all over that on top of those colors. So it will be a little above your crease.
  • Then I used a darker brown and put it on the outer corner of my lid, make sure you blend it really well.
  • Get a shimmery white or light pink and put it on your browbone.
  • I used my Maybelline blackest black gel liner to line my upper lash line and my water line. Make your liner winged.
  • For my lower lash line I used Wet n Wild's light blue liquid liner. Also wing that liner and make it parallel to the wings on your upper lash line.
  • To finish the look off just put mascara on :)

I hope you like it!!!

Wet n Wild I Love Matte

Hello guys!!!!!

I decided to do a look using Wet n Wild since I had not done one in a while. Here is what I came up with:

I used the I love Matte palette, which looks like this:

  • First I primed my lids with the Smashbox primer ( my new favorite primer)
  • Then I used the Maybelline's Color tattoo in too cool all over my lids and on my crease.
  • I got the green shadow and put it on the inner half of my lid and crease.
  • Then the outer half of my lid I put the purple shadow. You don't need to blend.
  • I got the blue and put it right where the green and purple met and then blended it really well.
  • On top of that, right above my crease and where the shadows ended I used a light brown shadow ( sienna by Mary Kay).
  • Then on my brow bone I used a shimmery light shade (it can be white or pink-ish).
  • For the eyeliner I used the Maybelline gel liner in blackest black. I am in love with this eyeliner, It last for such a long time and it is super black. I actually took a picture after wearing it for about 6 hours so you guys could see how it looked.
  • Then I put mascara on ( I used Maybelline's great lash, lots of lashes) and put fake eyelashes on as well.

Here is the picture of how the liner looked after I wore it to work. It had been about 6 hours, most of it is still on which I love. This is the first liner I could find that would stay on my waterline this long.

If you liked it follow me or comment :)
